recommend your Soldier for Promotion and get them scheduled to appear before the promotion board. A promotion Counseling

time of the board, Mock or practice boards should also be scheduled to help prepare your Soldier to succeed at the board

This counseling is to inform you of your promotion status.

In order to be considered for promotion to RANK without a waiver a you must have ## months Time in Service and ## months Time in
Grade.  

In order to be considered for promotion to RANK with a waiver a soldier must have ## months Time in Service and ## months Time in
Grade.  

You currently have ## months Time in Service and ## months Time in Grade.  

You (are / are not) eligible for promotion (with / without) a waiver at this time.

Based upon your current level of performance and my assessment of your potential; I (am / am not) going to recommend you for
advancement to RANK at this time and will recommend for you to appear before the promotion board on (DATE) You will be given a
letter of instruction in preparation for the board which will explain what areas to study and who the members of the board will be.
